Denmark is currently facing investments and changes within the rail infrastructure. The railway is being expanded and modernized with enhanced technology. And new, modern electric trains will be put into service.
Therefore, we are looking for a part-time student worker to assist our Test Manager in DSB’s Future Trains program.
At DSB, we work according to the mantra Customer First, and DSB IT plays a significant role.
The IT organisation consists of around 400 enthusiastic IT specialists and generalists.
We work with the development and maintenance of IT solutions, which are part of daily life for all our customers, our colleagues on the trains, and the administration at DSB.
Join TIMs (Test - Integration - Microsoft) In our department, TIMs, we are 25 colleagues + approx. 15 consultants both in-house and offshore.
We are divided into four different areas.
The Test Center of Excellence is responsible for maintaining quality and best practices in all IT projects and Agile Release Trains across DSB. We are eight colleagues, occupied with technical testing and test management. This will be your primary team.
The Integration Platform Team controls all types of integration processes.
The Sky Team works with the Microsoft Office 365 platform and solutions in SharePoint, PowerApps, and much more.
The Dynamics Team delivers solutions in Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
What will you be doing? During your work on the project, you will be part of overseeing the current Test Management platform, structure our tests on different levels, and coordinate with project managers, change managers, architects, suppliers, scrum masters, product owners, and engineers.
As part of the test team, you will also contribute to preparing and completing the testing of the new rolling stock and aid the project team with different tasks that relate to the project’s lifecycle and support the test activities.
You will be seated both with your colleagues in the Test Center of Excellence and with the project team.
We expect that you can work around 2 days per week – what else? You probably study Engineering, IT Management, or something related and perhaps have a basic understanding of software testing.

- Possess good communication skills, as you will cooperate with others orally and in writing, in English and perhaps Danish

We imagine that you are 1½-2 years into your course, so on one hand, you have got some theory in place, and at the same time have a few years left, before you graduate.
