Join DSB as a senior contract manager for future train projects

dato

Imagine being involved in developing and implementing CLM processes and tools that ensure optimal contract management and project development.

We are in the process of one of DSB's most complex projects: the acquisition of the future trains. To ensure an effective implementation and administration of these contracts, we are looking for two Senior Contract Managers.

You will play a significant role in managing the contracts and ensuring that all milestones and requirements are met, as well as representing DSB in important meetings and negotiation

Do you want to come on board? You will be an integral part of the project team, which includes project managers, technicians, lawyers, construction managers and change managers.

We work in a well-established matrix organization and are therefore also affiliated with the legal and commercial contract management team.

We are open to new ideas, set high standards and focus on managing complex contracts as well as developing processes, tools and systems.

We guarantee a good atmosphere with room for sparring, feedback and support.

About the job As Senior Contract Manager for Future Trains, you will oversee DSB's procurement project for new trains, from contract signing and beyond. You will ensure milestone acceptance and requirement management, and represent DSB in monthly progress meetings, change committees and commercial negotiations.

You will also report to the project management on contract-related topics and advise on strategy based on the contract.

A typical working day

Your day starts with reviewing the latest updates from the vendor and project team. You will then participate in a monthly progress meeting, where you will represent DSB and ensure that all milestones and requirements are met. After the meeting, you will work closely with the project manager and technical project managers to coordinate the next steps. After lunch, you will have a meeting with legal management to review the contract and any change orders. Before you go home, update your reports to the project management and ensure that the team is working with CM processes and tools such as CLM and Power BI.

Your most important tasks are to

  • Represent DSB in Monthly Progress meetings, change boards and commercial negotiations.
  • Support and lead the development of the Contract Managers with timely and practical advice when issues arise, together with providing operational support to the Contract Managers in managing their contracts scope through guidance and best practice sharing.
  • Ensure that the existing contract is maintained and updated in accordance with any change orders.
  • Ensure that the project team knows and works with CM processes and tools (CLM) and that the Milestone Acceptance and Obligation Management Process are followed by members of the team.
  • Be an active counterpart to the Supplier Contract Manager (advise, negotiate and engage).
Who are you? We are looking for two experienced contract manages with a minimum of five years of experience in contract management and project management.

You can create an overview of complex projects and manage well in a flexible working environment.

Your everyday life will involve interdisciplinary collaboration and requires a methodical approach to the tasks.

As a person, you are good at establishing and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally.

You have a methodical approach and can navigate between commercial, technical and legal requirements.

We are looking for you who have

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, engineering, finance, technical, economics or business sciences.
  • Experience within Contract/Procurement/Claim Management or Project Management.
  • Management of commercial negotiations, litigations, and dispute avoidance and resolution.
  • Ability to read and interpret contractual documents, including terms and conditions.
  • Knowledge of various types of contract methods (e.g., Design, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, etc.).
  • Familiarity with multiple contract pricing formats (e.g., lump sum, unit price, etc.) and various contractual components (e.g., technical scope, pricing, schedule, etc.).
  • Experience in controlling and accounting, contracts, and claims.

What can DSB offer you?
  • Free transportation with DSB
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home a few days a week
  • Access to DSB's gym and PureGym
  • Pension plan and health insurance
  • Subsidized lunch scheme and the opportunity to buy food to take home
