Right now, we are focused on topics such as traffic control, speech recognition to facilitate error reporting for the operating staff, and computer vision applications for detecting trespassers on rails and graffiti on trains.

Technology advances, and so does the need for specialized skills in AI solution architecture.

As a result, we are now looking for a Solution Architect in AI to pave the way and define the architectural blueprints of the future for our AI efforts.

Our department comprises three AI/ML development teams, all working according to the Scrum methodology.

The three teams work on different technologies such as GenAI, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision, all focused on using Data and AI to create solutions that benefit DSB and our customers.

AI at DSB AI and machine learning have been integrated into our business solutions since 2018.

In 2023, we took a step further and launched our strategic program, trAIn, to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence and ensure consistency and scalability in the solutions we develop.

Currently, we are developing an advanced AI platform for future traffic information and control. This platform is being designed with components including a “model factory” supporting full MLOps lifecycle, model inference, and functional model monitoring.

We are also enhancing our Danish language capabilities in our Large Language Models and Speech Recognition systems, to meet the increasing demand for better data quality and user experience. Our Speech-to-text features enable applications that can be used onboard trains and in repair shops to communicate more effectively and efficiently.

You will get the chance to influence the technical architecture of our projects and engage with advanced technology, contributing to the creation of innovative public transportation solutions leveraging AI technology.

What will be your job? As a solution architect, you will be at the forefront of designing innovative and sustainable AI solutions at DSB. We are facing exciting challenges, where you will take on an essential role in ensuring the technological coherence between current infrastructure and future requirements.

Each day offers new opportunities to communicate with colleagues on technical details and strategic decisions, in Danish and English.

Working on AI architecture, you will

• Define the solution architecture for specific AI projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with enterprise and domain architects to align the AI architecture with overall IT architecture.
• Guide and supervise the work of AI teams towards adhering to architectural principles and quality standards.
  

Delving deeper into technology, you will

• Evaluate technologies to find those best suited to our organization’s needs.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in the industry; this enables us to continuously fine-tune our capabilities and direction.
• Ensure effective communication with management and other stakeholders.

Who are you? We seek a visionary solution architect motivated by designing and implementing end-to-end AI solutions.

You are eager to engage with GenAI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.

Navigating complex IT architectures energizes you, and you excel as a sparring partner for IT specialists and management.

Furthermore, you have experience with most of the following

• Architectural designs such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and layered architecture.
• Cloud-based platforms incl. Kubernetes for developing AI solutions.
• Programming in Python and .NET/C#
• Integrating scalable AI solution designs within existing enterprise systems.
• Creating visionary roadmaps, considering new technological trends, AI ethics and compliance.
  

At DSB, we primarily use Danish in core units and English in IT. We seek someone with good communication skills and fluency in both languages.
