As a Senior EMC Expert, you will play a key role in defining EMC requirements and ensuring that future S-trains, associated systems, and infrastructure comply with these requirements and standards.

Your future program The Future S-network program will implement driverless S-Trains and we will contract suppliers that implement a Rolling Stock, infrastructure upgrades such as the traction power system, CBTC, supporting systems, and many other systems needed for a driverless transportation system, including new monitoring and surveillance tools.

Welcome to the Future Trains Technical Team We are an international team of 12 specialists with different professional backgrounds. We work across several large programmes such as the Future S-Network Program.
Here, we work with engineering & industrial design within systems, rolling stock and infrastructure. We have a highly collaborative culture and meet regularly to share knowledge, exchange experiences and find solutions to the technical and organizational tasks that arise in our projects.

You will have a challenging and varied job As a Senior EMC Expert in the S-network program, you will ensure that infrastructure systems, rolling stock, CBTC, and other systems are designed and delivered in accordance with agreed engineering principles and best practice in EMC.

Your role involves close collaboration with projects across the different areas in the program, and you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant norms, standards and compatibility requirements. Your work plays a central role in a smooth design, production and commissioning process for the S-network of the future.

Your most important tasks include ensuring that EMC requirements are met across rolling stock, supporting systems, traction power systems, and other infrastructure systems.

  • Analyse and solve EMC-related problems, including update of earthing and bonding systems
  • Advise on EMC requirements, standards and norms for telecommunications and signalling systems, Rolling stock, traction power, and other infrastructure systems.
  • Navigating between tender processes, operation and maintenance of solutions in the railway industry.
What do we expect from you? We are looking for someone with a strong technical background who thrives on solving complex tasks in collaboration with diverse professional groups and disciplines.

You are motivated by your profession and manage to keep an overview, even when many tasks require your attention.

You collaborate well with others, value interdisciplinary work, and understand the importance of creating a solid interaction between stakeholders in a large project.

As English is the working language, you must be able to communicate in both spoken and written English.

We imagine that you have

  • A technical education in eg. Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with complex projects, including high-voltage work.
  • Experience with EMC for applied engineering solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of large machines, preferably with a focus on rail systems such as rolling stock, CBTC, infrastructure systems and other systems.
  • A multidisciplinary understanding that supports your ability to navigate complex technical environments.
