Do you have excellent administrative skills? Do you want to support important research?
We seek an experienced secretary to assist our unit administrator with various secretarial tasks, with the aim of providing high quality administrative support in the daily running of the Center for Research in Eating and feeding disorders (CEDaR).
The position
Your tasks will be varied and will include, but not be limited to:
- Responsible for ordering office supplies and invoices
- Aid with staff related administrative systems
- Administration of travelling activities e.g. helping researchers with travel bookings, refunds etc.
- Booking staff meetings and writing minutes, assisting with meetings preparation
- Responsible for registration of academic outputs (e.g. publications) in relevant archives
- Practical ad hoc tasks in the daily running of the unit
- Managing calendars
The Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research-CEDaR is a multicultural and multidisciplinary team recently set up with a large portfolio of grants, across epidemiological, genetic, neuroimaging, and clinical intervention studies in feeding and eating disorders.
We are a dynamic, collaborative, and international team, with Prof Nadia Micali, a Professor in Eating Disorders taking up the leadership of the unit. We are a diverse staff group comprised of 12 staff members with varying levels of seniority (administrator, postdocs, PhD Students, research nurse, research coordinator).
Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We have a strong commitment to perform research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.
Qualifications
We seek a task oriented and organized team player, eager to support team members with administrative work. The ideal candidate has:
- A relevant academic or comparable education
- Experience in research administration, preferable in hospital settings within the Capital Region of Denmark or University setting in Denmark
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Danish
- Ability to work independently and structured to support and coordinate projects and events
- Good IT skills
- A collaborative and flexible attitude to the diverse tasks of both practical, administrative, and academic work
The position is offered at 30-32 hours and open for appointment as soon as possible. The position will be initially for 1 year but can be extended.
Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organization.

About the Mental Health Center Ballerup
Mental Health Center Ballerup is a part of Copenhagen University Hospital and one of nine departments, that provide treatment for mental disorders in the Capital Region of Denmark. The department consists of ten inpatient wards comprising 157 beds, nine outpatient clinics with several specialized functions and three research groups. We employ around 90 medical doctors and 80 psychologists in addition to nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and technical and administrative staff.
