We are seeking additional capacity for our team to enhance cyber security in critical Danish infrastructure and safeguard DSB.
Start your career with the Cyber Security Team You will join a team of around ten colleagues consisting of analysts, architects, advisors, and student assistants - all with in-depth knowledge of technical aspects of IT Security.
We do security testing, advising, monitoring, incident analysis, and threat intelligence. Our Security Operations Center team responds to incidents, handles alerts, and improves our defenses.
We work together with our vendors to protect our entire ecosystem.
Our mission is to secure DSB against threats. We follow IT security requirements and provide constructive guidance for maintaining adequate levels of security.
Teamwork is a big priority for us, everyone is chipping in with help and points of view when they can, ensuring that we all build upon our knowledge.
We have ongoing daily dialogues about incidents, issues, technical setup, and architecture.
Taking responsibility and acting promptly when things are not working as intended is what we are here for.

IT Security @ DSB The cyber security team is a part of the IT security unit at DSB.
We have colleagues who work on various aspects of cyber security such as vulnerability management, penetration testing, governance risk, compliance, and behavioral design.
Our diverse roles give us an edge when it comes to implementing and constantly improving the IT security in DSB.
When you join, you will be one of our 20 colleagues working in IT security.
Trains, IT & Technology Currently, we are in the process of migrating to a private or public cloud, as well as utilizing software-designed networks.
We are implementing new technologies to enhance the effectiveness of managing a complex IT security landscape.
Furthermore, we are readying ourselves for the new generation of trains where operational technology (OT) security will become a much bigger part of our daily lives.
About the job and your everyday life You'll work about 15 hours per week, 2 days per week. The hours may fluctuate during exam periods and holidays.
We offer a train pass for DSB, so you can get to work for free – you can also use your train pass in your spare time.
You will mainly be working with maintaining and driving processes, including incident management and sub-processes, playbooks, standard operating procedures, and similar documentation. You will get an exciting and developing job where you collaborate with both internal DSB parties and external vendors who provide essential security services for us.
We aim to achieve the best possible protection for DSB and our entire ecosystem, as well as to fix any errors in our setup.
You can expect to utilize various tools, including but not limited to
- Intrusion Detection & Preventions Systems
- Security Information and Event Management
- Infrastructure Event Management
- Security Operations Center tools
- Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365
We will ensure that you receive the education and knowledge needed to be able to use our tools efficiently.
Who are you? You are well into your bachelor's degree or have just started your master's degree. It may be studies within IT, but other studies are welcome - the most important is that you have a solid interest in learning about cyber security.
And you are interested in assisting us with the following tasks
- Logging and monitoring analysis and activities
- Threat intelligence assessments
- Security testing & vulnerability management
- E-mail security analysis
- Communication and documentation, in (Danish and) English
You can probably recognize yourself in the following character traits
- analytical, a large part of your time will be dedicated to investigations
- structured, you will take responsibility for your tasks and time spent
- methodical, we need someone who can make use of their academic toolbox
