DSB is investing in several different projects with a total value of approximately 50 billion DKK to ensure that Danes also have a sustainable and efficient alternative to cars, buses, and planes in the future.
Welcome to the project team and the Legal and Commercial Contract Management Team You will have two different "bases ". One base is the Project Team and the other is in the Legal and Commercial Contract Management team.
You will collaborate closely with your fellow Contract Managers in the Legal and Commercial Contract Management team. We are 9 Contract Managers/Senior Contract Manager, a Financial Analyst, and our Manager Eduardo. We are an international and diverse team with colleagues from all over the world, among others Greece, Spain, Pakistan, Sweden, Canada, China, and Burundi.
You will experience multiple reference points and become an integrated part of the project team consisting of Project Managers, Technicians, Lawyers, Construction Managers, and Change Managers. You will also collaborate with our external advisors and eventually our suppliers.
Common to both the Project Team and the Legal and Commercial Contract Management team is that we're open to new ideas; we set high standards; and focus on managing complex contracts developing processes tools systems. The organization is characterized by good atmosphere and room for sparring and laughter.
As Contract Manager, you will have ample opportunity for development as we work with a modern learning culture where feedback and “lessons learned” are highly prioritized.
What will be your role? In short term, your focus is to develop commercial and contract management requirements that must be set. You will also negotiate these requirements with bidders through an EU tendering process.
It will be your responsibility to:
• Be an active counter part of the Supplier Contract Manager (advise, negotiate, and engage).
• Milestone Acceptance and Obligation management.
• Represent CM SA in Monthly Progress meeting.
• Represent Contract Management in Risk Management.
• Report to Project Director on Contract Management related topics and advise on strategy based on the Contract.
• Liaise with SA Project Manager and Technical Project Manager
• Ensure, in collaboration with Legal Management, that the existing Contract is maintained and updated in accordance with any Change Order.
• Ensure that the project team knows and works with Contract Management processes and tools (CLM).
• Ensure the implementation and continuous development of CLM and Power Bi for the necessary process together with our internal IT-organization.
• Support with identifying and resolving issues/conflicts within the project team.
Who are you? There are many ways in which you can qualify for this position. We imagine that you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics or business sciences and have a minimum of five years of experience within Contract/Claim Management/Project Management.
Also, we imagine that you have:
• Experience in controlling and accounting, contracts, and claims experience with rail vehicle commercial project management preferred.
• Good commercial, oral, and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and interpret contractual documents, including terms and conditions.
• Knowledge of various types of contract methods (e.g., Design, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, etc.).
• Familiarity with multiple contract pricing formats (e.g., lump sum, unit price, etc.) and various contractual components (e.g., technical scope, pricing, schedule, etc.).
• Experience with visualization/BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView and others
• User experience with Conga CLM or Salesforce
Previous experience in the railway industry will be seen as an advantage, as well as having basic leadership qualities and experience in working with engineering partners – internally and externally and the ability to interpret a variety of technical documentation.
