BEMÆRK: Ansøgningsfristen er overskredet

Could you be motivated by developing solutions that support modern and efficient train operations?

Are you looking for a combination of leadership consulting and strategy on one hand, and immersion in technological details on the other?

Do you want to make the IT operations organization more service-oriented, where we think from the outside in?

You can look forward to entering a brand-new role that has been created due to emerging needs of our services, deriving from the business and the train operations.

Join the IT Infrastructure, Datacenter & Cloud Services Team We are 12 colleagues, working in close cooperation with our sister team "End User & Network Services”. We put effort into knowledge sharing in and outside our assignments.

DSB's IT infrastructure is outsourced, and we share the responsibility for ensuring that IT operations run smoothly.

We are part of IT operations @ DSB with just under 90 specialists and generalists.

“We have a comfortable, humorous environment in the team. It's also very informal; there are of course procedures, time tracking, etc., but there is great freedom to manage, size up and estimate your tasks and your own time if the tasks are completed," says Anders, Senior IT Architect, and your closest colleague. Anders has been with us for just over 3 years.

What will be your role? It will be your responsibility to

  • Develop IT domain strategies within IT Operations and guide according to these
  • Act as a trusted advisor in IT projects as an IT I&O Architect
  • Advise on infrastructure work across internal and external IT projects
  • Define technology standards in collaboration with Business Relation Managers
  • Maintain an overview of the existing architecture and initiate improvements
  • Create roadmaps for DSB's core infrastructure platforms
Anders elaborates: ”If one can shoulder their responsibilities, they are granted a high degree of freedom and a large scope of action. I receive support and trust from the management to handle tasks on my own, and I can always turn to my colleagues to ask about anything big or small. If they don't know the answer, they are always willing to guide me further.”

A typical day at the job Includes meetings ranging from project discussions to strategic status updates.

You will participate in task forces ensuring a holistic approach and architectural guidance.

You may also be working with designs enabling mitigation of disaster scenarios.

You may be involved in infrastructure configurations in close dialogue with our operations provider TCS. You will develop/review, improve, and approve design elements crucial to the solution.

We have a particular focus on developing service-oriented solutions that are seen from the customer's perspective rather than the technical one. We are in the process of developing a model that will make it easier for us to think from the outside in.

Your manager, Jens, will occasionally draw on your expertise to gain perspective on various technical and business challenges.

Future Train Projects You will become part of exciting projects concerning new train fleets, where your insight ensures the integration between advanced technology and train solutions. We outsource fundamental infrastructure elements so that we can focus on innovative solutions and integrations.

Our tech stack We work with a broad spectrum (Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco and more), so you will get the opportunity to manage complex systems, parallel to working with your subject matter expertise.

Our platform includes both private cloud data centers and public clouds such as Azure.

Who are you? In the first place, we are looking for someone who is motivated by working with complexity and versatility – managing stakeholders as well as technology.

You can probably recognize yourself in the following statements

  • At least 5 years of experience as an IT infrastructure architect
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud and security
  • A skilled communicator in English, orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Danish working culture
  • Proficiency in complex problem-solving and project enhancements
Your characteristics Your expertise lies in

  • facilitating decision-making processes, aimed at clarifying scope, allocation of responsibilities, operational economy, and solution design
  • delivering results by collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments and professional areas
  • your ability to think beyond the immediate solution and consider the bigger picture
