One of our Key Account Managers is retiring so we are searching for a new colleague to be a part of our small, dynamic sales team in Taastrup.
The Role You will be responsible for nurturing and expanding our customer platform across Europe and the US for our patent search and analysis services, performed by the patent examiners of the national patent offices of Denmark and Norway.
You will be part of an experienced sales group, working as a team as well as independently. The customers are patent attorneys in law firms and technology-based companies. You will be responsible for booking and attending physical and virtual one-to-one meetings as well as participating in conferences/exhibitions.
Additionally, you will have daily interaction to our specialists in both Denmark and Norway when preparing quotes and following up.
Your profile We are looking for a self-driven Key Account Manager that has demonstrated proficiency in navigating complex processes characterizing knowledge sales.
- You are outgoing and result-oriented, whilst at the same time being able to establish trust and be an active player on all levels throughout the internal as well as external organization.
- You capable of understanding your customer’s business at a strategic and technical level. An experience or understanding of the patent system would be an asset.
- You speak and write English at negotiation level, proficiency in German would be an asset.
- You have experience in sales, preferably of information products, services or solutions.
About us Nordic Patent Institute is an international organization, a partnership between the patent offices of Denmark, Iceland and Norway. We act as international sales organization for commercial patent search and analysis, primarily as background for Validity and Freedom to operate assessments.

We are located at the premises of The Patent and Trademark Office in Taastrup (Patent- og Varemærkestyrelsen) and we are an integrated part of their office environment, such as canteen, personnel arrangements etc.
